UNOFFICIAL UNTIL APPR O VED BY THE INDIO WATER AUTHORITY <br />SPECIAL JOINT MEETING <br />INDIO WATER AUTHORITY/CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 20, 2016 <br />MINUTES <br />President/Mayor Glenn Miller called to order the Special Joint Meeting of the Indio <br />Water Authority and the City Council of the City of Indio, California to order at 2:17 p.m. <br />at the Emergency Operations Center located at 45222 North Towne Street, Indio, <br />California. <br />ROLL CALL: PRESENT: President/Mayor Glenn Miller <br />Vice President/Mayor Pro Tem Elaine Holmes <br />Commissioner/Councilmember Michael H. Wilson <br />Commissioner/Councilmember Lupe Ramos Watson (arrived at 2:23 p.m.) <br />ABSENT: Commissioner/Councilmember Troy Strange <br />PUBLIC COMMENT — NONE <br />1. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />a. June 7, 2016 Minutes <br />b. Warrants Receive/File <br />c. Approve purchases with Equarius Waterworks, Meter & Automation Group, a <br />Ferguson enterprise for as -needed water meters and other purchases for new <br />development in the amount of $250,000 and non -warranty meters in the amount of <br />$50,000 for a not -to -exceed amount of $300,000 for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 in <br />accordance with the approved budget <br />d. Professional Services Agreement with Sierra Controls, LLC for a not -to -exceed <br />amount of $50,000.00 for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) <br />maintenance for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 <br />e. Approval of the improvement agreement and bonds from Terra Lago Indio, LLC for <br />K. Hovnanian's Four Seasons at Terra Lago (Tract No. 32341-6), located north <br />Avenue 44 and east of Golf Center Parkway <br />f. Release of the bonds for the Pacific Indio Retail Center located on the southeast <br />corner of Monroe Street and Avenue 42 <br />g. Approve cancellation of the August 3 Indio Water Authority meeting <br />h. Appropriation of $3,992,874 for remaining Proposition 84 Integrated Regional Water <br />Management Drought Grant for the Fiscal Year 2016-2017 <br />i. Amendment No. 4 to the professional services agreement with Hazen and Sawyer <br />(H&S) to provide Engineering Services for an Initial Operational Report for Indio <br />Water Authority ("IWA") Chromium 6 (Cr6) Treatment Facilities for a not -to -exceed <br />amount of $32,385 in accordance with the approved budget <br />It was moved by Vice President/Mayor Pro Tem Holmes, seconded by Commissioner/ <br />Councilmember Wilson and unanimously carried, by roll call vote, to ADOPT the <br />Consent Calendar as submitted, by the following vote: <br />AYES: Holmes, (Nilson, Miller <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Strange, Ramos Watson <br />
